COVID-19 and the TOR2 Recycling Centre Closure

COVID-19 and the TOR2 Recycling Centre Closure

March 23, 2020 Off By TOR2ltd

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak and in order to be able to observe government public health guidance around social distancing, it is with regret that Torbay Council and TOR2 have had to make the joint decision to temporarily close the Household Waste Recycling Centre in Tor Park Road, Paignton.

This is to protect both staff and residents as over the weekend it became clear that people visiting the centre have not been able to observe the social distancing that is now being urged by central government.

We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause but the health and safety of residents and staff is paramount.

Waste and recycling collections from your home will continue as normal until advised otherwise.

Please note the Weighbridge will also be closed to the public during this time.

TOR2 offices have now been closed for public access in order to further protect residents and employees.

We regret to further inform you that we will also be temporarily closing our MOT service to the public. Going forward we will only be carrying out works on TOR2 and Torbay Council vehicles, as well as critical use vehicles, for example; utilities Vans, school transport buses, prison vans, etc, but will no longer be able to do private cars, motor-homes, etc.

We thank you for your patience and understanding at this difficult time.
